meth-arrest-muhlMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (7/18/14) — After a traffic stop was initiated by a Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force officer and an investigation by Muhlenberg County K9 Unit Manny, a Madisonville man was charged for possession of methamphetamines Thursday, July 17 in Muhlenberg County.

According to a Muhlenberg County Sheriff's report, after the traffic stop, Manny indicated that there were illegal drugs or contraband in the vehicle. Officers then discover two baggies of suspected meth weighing about five grams.

Detective Troy Gibson with the PNTF charged Troy Bess, 30, of Madisonville with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth, first offense. Bess is being lodged in the Muhlenberg Detention Center.

Gibson was assisted by the Central City Police and Kentucky State Police.
