accident two car 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/4/14) — The Owensboro Police investigated the following accidents:

An Owensboro woman was taken to Owensboro Health following a two-vehicle collision on 18th St. According to Owensboro Police, at 10:59 a.m. on Aug.30 Brandon Floyd, 26, Calhoun, was driving east on 18th St. when he apparently turned left into a public parking lot in front of Jillian Calhoun, 18, Owensboro. Authorities said Calhoun was driving west. Calhoun was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

A 50 year old Owensboro man was charged with DUI after he allegedly drove away from the scene of an accident at 2:37 p.m. on Aug. 31. According to Owensboro Police, Daniel Craig allegedly disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of Barron Drive and Tamarack Road, resulting in a collision with Sharon Weber, 60, Owensboro, who was driving west on Tamarack Road. Police said Craig then left the scene but that Weber followed him to the 3500 block of Winchester St., where police arrived to investigate. Craig was charged with DUI.

At 4:57 p.m. on Sept. 1, Ryan Geary, 36, Owensboro, was charged with DUI after he allegedly ran off the road and struck a utility pole in the 2800 block of Frederica St. Authorities said they found drug paraphernalia in his vehicle and claimed he admitted to having smoked marijuana prior to the accident.
