obit1HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Albert Leroy Jones 58 of Hopkins County, passed away on Monday, Nov. 14 in Hopkinsville.

He was born on Sept. 8, 1953 in Sebree to Albert and Helen Jones. Albert graduated from West Hopkins High School and from Murray State College with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

He worked for the federal government with NASA and the Department of Defense at Houston and Huntsville for many years.

While in Huntsville he was a member of Mayfair Church of Christ and enjoyed playing softball and basketball, fishing and spending time with his son.

He is survived by his son Albert Jones of Murray, Ky, three brothers Eddie Jones of Cadiz, Ron Jones of Royal Palm Beach Fl. and David Jones of Clarksville, In., and sister Dausie Parrish of Nebo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Wanda Skinner.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 1 PM at Jones & Erdman in Providence with Pastor Paul Stone officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Webster Co.

Visitation is on Thursday from 11 AM to service time at the funeral home.
