Herman Wade, 91, Sturgis

 

skySTURGIS, KY - Herman Wade, 91, Sturgis, passed away at 2 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at Methodist Hospital Union County.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sturgis and a retired UMWA coal miner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorris Collins Wade, who passed away in 2004; and his son, Herman Wade Jr.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Sturgis. Brother Don Phelps will officiate. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.

Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis is in charge of arrangements.
