Robert A. Towery, 93 of Providence

 

3sunsetPROVIDENCE, KY - Robert A. Towery, 93 of Providence, passed away on Friday, Dec. 23 in Madisonville.

He was born on June 28, 1918 in Crittenden County to Alfred and Cordie Towery.

He attended school at Shady Grove and served in the US Army Air Force in the Pacific theatre during WW II.

After the war Robert returned home where he farmed his entire life.

He had been a resident of the Veterans Center in Hanson for the past nine years.

He is survived by two brothers, Owen Towery of Providence and Travis Towery of Palm Coast, Fl.

He was preceded in death by a sister Lucille Graf and three brothers, John Henry, Thomas and Clyde.

He enjoyed hunting and taking walks.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 11 AM at Jones & Erdman in Providence with Pastor Sam Beeny officiating. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Crittenden County. Visitation is on Monday from 5 to 8 PM and from 9 AM to service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
