Mary Jo Little, 70, Dixon

 

DIXON, KY - Mary Jo Little, 70, Dixon, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.

She was retired from the Webster County school system, where she was the librarian for more than 28 years. She was a member of Dixon First Baptist Church in Dixon. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, the Foster Care review board, a Kentucky Colonel and she participated in the Webster County Relay for Life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward H. and Georgia H. Wilkerson; and by one brother, Edward "Eddie" Wilkerson Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Arthur Junior Little; one son, Travis Little of Dixon; one sister, Sara Sutton and her husband, Tommy, of Lexington; three grandchildren, Hunter Little, Page Little and Ben Little; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon. The Reverands Hank Cayce, Benny Phelps and Jared Leet will officiate.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 S. Green St., Henderson, KY 42420.
