canary midkiffFORDSVILLE, Ky. (11/20/17) — An investigation after a traffic stop in Ohio County led to meth trafficking charges for two men yesterday.

Kentucky State Police said Nate P. Midkiff, 35 of Hartford and Louis L. Canary, 56 of Fordsville were charged with several offenses.

Canary was with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth – first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – second offense, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and tampering with physical evidence. He is being held in the Ohio County Detention Center awaiting pretrial. No bond has been set.

Midkiff was charged with no registration plates, no registration receipt, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc. - with aggravated circumstances – first offense, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/meth – second or greater offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – third or greater offense, tampering with physical evidence, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is being held in the OCDC awaiting pretrial. No bond has been set.
