Bryan Shepherd 1500902720UTICA, Ky. (7/24/17) — The Rev. Bryan Shepherd, 48 of Utica,went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 23 at his residence.

Born March 7, 1969 in Ashville, North Carolina to the late Clyde Boyd and Geraldine York Shepherd, he was a member of Longview Baptist Church near Beaver Dam and a truck driver for Perdue Farms in Cromwell. Bryan was a University of Kentucky and Atlanta Braves Fan. Bryan was a big bass fisher and participated in many tournaments with his brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, April Dockery Shepherd of Utica; four children, Charlie (Angela) Shepherd of Hartford, Cassandra Carter of Utica, Jeremiah “Jerry” (Bliss Wilson) Shepherd of McHenry and Shelton Shepherd of Utica; four siblings, Deborah (Jeffrey) Calloway of Hartford, Pam Calloway of Beaver Dam, Kenny (Cindy) Shepherd of Centertown and Tia Renee Shepherd of Greensville, Tennessee; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Jennifer Dockery of Morgantown.

Bryan was blessed with six grandchildren, Adalyn Shepherd, Chayson Shepherd, Davonah Carter, Phoenix Carter, Ivory Gail Shepherd and Ace Sloane Shepherd. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26 at Longview General Baptist Church near Beaver Dam with the Rev. Kenny Shepherd and the Rev. Jay Raymond officiating. Burial will be in Zion Harmony Cemetery in Butler County.

Family and friends may gather to visit with the family from 2 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford and 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Longview General Baptist Church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Ohio County, 107 Gillespie St, Hartford, KY, 42347. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
