OWENSBORO, KY (2/3/12) – On February 2, 2012, within a two hour period, two subjects were arrested on drug charges by Owensboro Police Department K-9 officers.
Between 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., traffic stops initiated by those officers for traffic violations yielded cocaine. During the first stop, the officer located cocaine inside a jacket pocket of the driver, and his K-9 partner alerted on drugs inside the vehicle.
The second traffic stop was initiated but the suspect fled from the officer in his vehicle. That vehicle and suspect were located a short time later at 170 Partridge Loop. Cocaine was also recovered during this investigation.
The actions taken by the K-9 officers took more drugs off the streets and both subjects were lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center.
