OWENSBORO, KY - Norma Carolyn Hayden Burton, 66, of Owensboro, KY passed away January 30, 2012, at Carmel Home in Owensboro on her 41st wedding anniversary.

She was born on April 10, 1945 in Akron, Ohio to the late Douglas Foster Hayden and Juanita Hayden. Norma was retired from Owensboro Middle School and also taught at Foust Elementary and in St. Petersburg, FL. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. Norma enjoyed traveling, reading, friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne Burton, on December 21, 2009.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, April Burton Duncanson and Dr. Phil Duncanson of Philadelphia, PA and an abundant community of wonderful friends, especially her Sunday school class, Faithlink.

Services are at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Graveside services and burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
