OWENSBORO, KY - Donald Ray Adams, 73, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Friday, February 3, 2012, at his home.

He was born on December 4, 1938 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Kernie and Dora Adams. He was self employed as a painter and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of AmVets and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Shirlee Adams; a son, Donald Scott Adams of Henderson; four grandchildren, Nessa Scott Adams, Dagan Chase Adams, Samantha Ray Adams and Leslie Nicole Harper; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Palmer Lee Adams of Owensboro and Johnny Adams of Henderson, KY; a sister, Mary Havener of Owensboro and several nieces and nephews.

Services are at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday and after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
