OWENSBORO, KY - Sharon Myrl Thorpe Texas, 55 of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2012, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on April 10, 1956, in Daviess County to the late Jack and Ada Greer Thorpe.

Sharon was fun loving and in her younger years enjoyed music, games, nature and baking. And above all she loved her son and grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Danny Ray Benningfield of Henderson; six grandchildren; two brothers, John (Nancy) Thorpe of Cromwell, KY and Thomas Jeffrey (Patricia) Thorpe of Owensboro; two sisters, Jackie (Bill) Mitchell of Utica and Becky Thorpe of Owensboro; and five nieces and four nephews.

A memorial and celebration of Sharon's life will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00pm.

The family will receive friends at the PAT Clubhouse behind the Hines Center, One Wellness Place, Philpot, KY
