PADUCAH, KY (2/1/12) - The Murray State women’s tennis team will open the 2011-12 season at Kenlake Tennis Center in Aurora, Ky., for the second-straight season when they host North Alabama at noon.
The match will be the first of the season for both teams and the first meeting between the Racers and the Lions in the 46-year history of MSU women’s tennis. The match is also the first for Racers’ head coach Kara Amundson.
North Alabama finished the 2010-11 campaign with a 17-6 overall mark and 4-1 record in the Gulf South Conference. The Racers were 10-13 overall and 5-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference last year.
