PADUCAH, KY (2/17/12) – Morgan Elementary fifth grader Rodriguez Thomas was champion in the 10-11 division of the Elks National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest held in Frankfort, Kentucky.
 
Thomas hit 22 out of 25 free throws in the final round to win the contest. With the win, Thomas advances to the Central Region competition on March 10 in Paris, Tennessee, where he will face state winners from Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee.
 
The winner of that competition will advance to nationals.
