MURRAY, KY (2/2/12) – The Murray State women’s track & field team are headed back to Carbondale, Ill., for the third time in the indoor season to participate in the SIU Invite, Feb. 3-4.
The Racers, who have 19 athletes in top-10 performances lists in 12 events among Ohio Valley Conference teams, will be one of 12 teams participating in the meet. MSU will be competing against four other OVC teams at the meet. Austin Peay, Southeast Missouri, UT Martin and Tennessee Tech are all going to be in the competition.
Other teams participating in the meet include the host Salukis, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Central Arkansas, Mississippi Valley, Rend Lake College, Southern University and Southern Indiana.
Field events start at 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3 and will continue at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4. Track events are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4 and are on a rolling start schedule, with events starting directly after the previous event ends.
