PADUCAH, KY (2/1/12) – On January 15, 2012 at approximately 10:09 pm, deputies responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of John Puryear Drive and Silk Tree Blvd.
Upon arrival, it was determined that 18-year-old Jennifer Ward of Marshall County was driving a 2004 Red Pontiac Sunfire and was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Silk Tree Blvd. from John Puryear Drive. Ward turned into the path of Sheila Mcgill, 42, of Paducah. Mcgill was operating a White 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. Both vehicles attempted to avoid the collision but could not.
Ward and her two passengers were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for apparent non-life threatening injuries. Tara Pond, 19, of Marshall Co. and Carter Barnett, 1, also of Marshall Co. were both present in Ward’s vehicle at the time of the collision.
Sheila Mcgill and her passenger Steven Lang, 14, of Paducah were not injured in the accident.
McCracken Co. Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by Reidland Farley Fire Department along with Mercy Regional Ambulance Service.
