E-Gals Double up Meade County, Move on to Region Championship Game

OWENSBORO, Ky. (6/1/15) — Apollo need only two hits to plate four runs against Meade County in the semifinals of the Third Region Softball Tournament. The E-Gals benefited from four Meade County errors, doubling up the Lady Waves 4-2 on Friday. Apollo improved to 22-13 and advanced to the Third Region championship game while Meade County finished its season 27-10. E-Gal pitcher Autumn Grady gave up four hits in a complete game performance and earned the win. Despite allowing only two hits and pitching a complete game of her own, Meade County pitcher Abigail Whelan suffered the loss. Apollo committed just one error in the field.
