OWENSBORO, Ky (9/20/13) – UPDATE - Tonight's game has been postponed until tomorrow night at 6 p.m. due to inclement weather.
The Daviess County Panthers, now 2-2, are getting back a big missing part of their team this week. It will be the first game for DC head coach Marcus Kimbrell since the opener against the Owensboro Red Devils.
"I’m happy to be back and I am really proud of my coaching staff," Kimbrell said.
Daviess County will take on Muhlenberg County (3-1) in Greenville, Ky. The Panthers are gaining some momentum after two consecutive wins. The last victory was a blowout against Grayson County 41-18, where the Panthers ran the ball for over 200 yards.
The main key to game this week against Muhlenberg is stopping the option. Coach Kimbrell pointed out that the offense must play smart and continue where they left off last week. He also talked about how good Muhlenberg’s nose guard is, so the offensive line must be consistent in their choice of plays on the field.
