uk tennis women 300LEXINGTON, Ky. (3/13/14) — The No. 24 University of Kentucky women's tennis team will face two ranked opponents this weekend, traveling to Starkville, Miss., Friday, March 14 to take on No. 61 Mississippi State and Oxford, Miss., Sunday, March 16 to face off with No. 38 Ole Miss.

Kentucky's matchup with Mississippi State will begin at 3 p.m. ET and at 12 p.m. ET against Ole Miss.

The Bulldogs (9-5, 1-3 SEC) enter Friday's matchup coming off of a 4-3 win against the University of Tennessee. Their win over the Volunteers ended a three-game lose streak. Kentucky leads the series 34-5 and blanked the Bulldogs, 7-0, when the Wildcats hosted them in Lexington last season.

Kentucky will get a chance to right some wrongs against the Rebels (7-4) when they play Sunday.

Kentucky dropped a tough match against Ole Miss last season at home.  Ole Miss started its dual match season boasting a 6-1 record, but is 1-3 in conference play. They will face Vanderbilt before their matchup with Kentucky on Sunday.

Live stats for Mississippi State will be available online. Follow Kentucky women's tennis online or like the Kentucky Women's Tennis page on Facebook.
