WESTERN KENTUCKY (2/3/12)—At approximately 11:30 am on Thursday, February 2nd, Kentucky State Police Post 2 Trooper Brandon McPherson arrested a Madisonville resident connected to a felony-level burglary.
As members of the KSP Post 2 report, Trooper McPherson responded to a burglary complaint coming from a farm located in Bremen on Saddle Club Lane at approximately 8:30am on February 1st.
Evidence gathered at the scene showed that the perpetrator gained entry to a barn on the property and stole a 5,000 watt generator. Following further investigations, Trooper McPherson was able to return the generator to the rightful owners.
It was also through additional investigations that Trooper McPherson was able to link the burglary to a local man. As a result, Trooper McPherson located and apprehend 30 year-old Madisonville, KY resident, Michael R. Poe (pictured in main photo), in connection with the burglary.
At this time, Poe is being charged with 3rd Degree Burglary (a Class D felony). Poe was originally lodged in the Hopkins County Jail. He has since been released.
Trooper McPherson was assisted by KSP Post 2 Trooper Bob Winters during the arrest.
