lane closures and restrictions 300SEBREE, Ky. (12/7/17) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a daytime work zone lane restriction along Interstate 69/Kentucky 56 Sebree Exit 134 southbound entry ramp in Webster County Monday-Tuesday.

The southbound entry ramp from Kentucky 56 to I-69 at Sebree Exit 134 will be restricted to one lane to allow repairs to a significant dip that has developed between Kentucky 56 and the main line of I-69.  The contractor will be injecting material into the base of the roadway, then filling in the dip and paving over it to provide a smoother acceleration area along the ramp.

The work zone configuration may change at this site from time to time, KYTC Spokesman Keith Todd said. The contractor plans to keep the ramp open by using flaggers to control access and move traffic to one shoulder or the other through the work zone.

Due to the limited work area along this southbound entry ramp, drivers are asked to use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the ramp in close proximity to traffic flow.

Todd said some minor delays are possible during the positioning and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
