WC logoDIXON, Ky. (10/6/18) — Fort Knox kicker Kaleb Petty connected on a 26-yard field goal to lift the visiting team over host Webster County 30-27 in double overtime in a non-district high school football game at Trojan Field on Friday night.

The Trojans suffered the loss after leading 14-7 at halftime.

With the loss, Webster County dropped to 1-6.

Fort Knox improved to 2-5 with the win.

The two high school football teams ended regulation tied 21-21.

As a team, Fort Knox rushed for 234 yards on its way to the win. Jerome Jones rushed 13 times for 81 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles' thrilling victory. Another Fort Knox running back, Tjuante Pittman, rushed 10 times for 103 yards. 

Webster County rushed for 221 yards in the setback. Sophomore running back Tanner Robertson led the Trojans on the ground, rushing 29 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns.

Through the air for Webster County, sophomore quarterback Mason Wilson completed 13 of 30 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns.
