WC logoHENDERSON, Ky. (1/9/19) — Avoiding an upset, Webster County pulled away to defeat host Henderson County 56-47 in a 6th District girls' basketball game on Tuesday night.

With the win, Webster County improved to 16-2 overall and 2-0 in the 6th District.

Henderson County dropped to 8-3 overall and 0-1 in the district with the loss.

Karlie Keeney led Webster County with 15 points. Following Keeney in double figures for the Lady Trojans, Sadie Wurth added 13 points and Raigan Price registered 12 points.

Webster County and Henderson County were deadlocked 28-28 at halftime. The Lady Trojans took a three-point lead out of the third quarter. Finishing strong, Webster County outscored the Lady Colonels 16-10 over the final eight minutes. 

Alyssa Dickson led Henderson County with a double-double, scoring 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Joining Dickson in double figures for the Lady Colonels, Emilee Hope posted 11 points.
