WC logoMADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/14/19) — Visiting Webster County plated four runs in the top half of the first inning and never faltered, pulling away to shut out host Madisonville-North Hopkins 9-0 in a high softball softball game on Friday.

Webster County pitcher Grace Scott tossed a complete game and earned the win. Scott allowed zero runs on four hits, striking out five and walking one over seven innings.

Madisonville-North Hopkins pitcher Amber Osborne suffered the loss. Osborne surrendered nine runs on 18 hits over seven innings, walking one.

Providing a big lift at the plate for Webster County, Scott homered in the third inning. Webster County outhit Madisonville-North Hopkins 18-4.

Scott, Gracie Thomas, Kayla Yates, Jade Jerome, Rylee Warford, Kerstin Braden and Hadlee Carter each collected multiple hits for the Lady Trojans. Yates, Jerome and Warford led Webster County with three hits apiece.

Osborne went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Madisonville-North Hopkins in the hits column.
