WC alternate logoMURRAY, Ky. (1/11/20) —Webster County experienced heartbreak Friday night as Calloway County pulled away late to win 58-54 in the semifinals of the Kentucky 2-A Section 1 Tournament.

With the loss, Webster County slipped to 13-2.

Calloway County improved to 11-6 with the win.

Kade Mize led a balanced Calloway County offensive effort, scoring a team-best 16 points for the Lakers. Joining Mize in double figures in scoring for Calloway County, Chandler Steele netted 13 points while Ki Franklin contributed 11 points.

Tyler Camplin led Webster County with a game-high 19 points. Accompanying Camplin in double figures in scoring for the Trojans, Hunter McNaughton posted 16 points.
