Ohio County EaglesOWENSBORO, Ky. (1/8/19) — Prevailing on the road, Ohio County upended host Daviess County 56-54 in a mid-season girls' high school basketball game on Monday night.

With the win, Ohio County improved to 13-4.

Daviess County dropped to 1-14 with the loss.

Longtime rivals, Ohio County and Daviess County were tied 27-27 at halftime.

Ohio County shot 48.6 percent (17-of-35) from the field. The Lady Eagles were 18-of-29 (62.1 percent) from the free throw line in the winning effort.

Kate Edge led Ohio County with a game-high 20 points. Rain Embry scored 15 points and Kelsey Kennedy netted 14 points as three Ohio County players reached double figures in the scoring column.

Kailey Bowers paced Daviess County with 14 points. Accompanying Bowers in double figures for the Lady Panthers, Claire Johnson added 12 points.

Daviess County connected on 11 3-point field goals in the setback.
