Ohio County High Bball hardwoodHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (1/12/19) — Returning to the win column following a loss earlier in the week, Ohio County pulled away to defeat Trigg County 64-50 in the Toyota of Hopkinsville Classic at Christian County High School on Saturday.

With the win, Ohio County improved to 11-8.

Trigg County dropped to 6-11 with the loss.

The Eagles faced a three-point deficit at the conclusion of the first quarter but eventually moved ahead. Ohio County led 24-19 at halftime and after heating up offensively after the break, took a commanding 56-37 lead into the fourth quarter.

Hunter Pharis paced Ohio County with 16 points. Finishing directly behind Pharis in the Ohio County scoring column, Trey Lewis added 15 points.

Kendric Adams led Trigg County with a game-high 27 points and eight rebounds. Adams was the only Trigg County player to reach double figures in the scoring column. Narrowly missing double figures for the Wildcats, Gavin Grubbs netted nine points.
