Ohio County EaglesBOWLING GREEN, Ky. (4/14/19) — Stumbling on the road, Ohio County faltered late as host South Warren pushed across one run in the game's final at-bat to win 4-3 in a high school baseball matchup on Saturday.

The Eagles lost despite outhitting the Spartans 8-6 and finishing error-free defensively.

Ohio County led 3-1 at the conclusion of the opening inning.  But South Warren thrived late, manufacturing three runs over its last four plate appearances. 

With the loss, Ohio County dropped to 9-9.

South Warren improved to 13-3 with the win.

South Warren pitcher Nate Moore earned the win. Moore surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Ohio County hurler Tanner Batts took the loss. Batts allowed six hits and four runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 11.

Tyler Martin led South Warren at the plate as he went 2-for-2. 

Batts and Wade Everley paced Ohio County with two hits apiece.
