muhl mustangs1 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (2/12/20) — Noah Phillips connected on a three-point field goal attempt with 2.6 remaining in the second overtime to push Muhlenberg County past visiting Breckinridge County 86-83 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

With the win, Muhlenberg County improved to 16-10.

Breckinridge County dropped to 16-8 with the loss.

The Mustangs and Fighting Tigers swapped leads throughout the matchup. Regulation ended with the two boys' high school basketball teams tied 75-75.

Brayden Lovan (17 points, six rebounds, four assists), Donovan McCoy (17 points, 10 rebounds), Davian Summers (14 points) and Isaac Rose (10 points) combined to lead the Mustangs.

Kaeveon Mitchell led Breckinridge County with a game-high 40 points. Along with Mitchell, Brock Lucas (14 points), Justin Shrewsberry (13 points) and Kason Morris (10 points) reached double figures in scoring.
