Hopkins Central Storm SoccerMADISONVILLE, Ky. (10/9/18) — Hopkins County Central managed to edge rival Caldwell County 2-1 in overtime in the 7th District Boys' Soccer Tournament at Madisonville-North Hopkins on Monday.

With the win, Hopkins County Central improved to 7-11-1 and advances to the 7th District title match.

Caldwell County concluded its season 2-14-1 with the loss.

Jesus Gallegos and Julio Rivera-Mena netted one goal apiece to lead Hopkins County Central to the postseason victory.

Gavin Lear recorded an assist on one of Hopkins County Central's two goals in the hard-fought win.

Goalkeeper Chase Garrett led the Hopkins County Central defensive effort, allowing only oe goal while recording 10 saves.

Hopkins County Central will face tournament host Madisonville-North Hopkins in the 7th District title match at 7:30 p.m on Tuesday.
