Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (1/9/18) — Madisonville-North Hopkins went on a 24-2 run in the opening half and dominated the rest of the way, defeating visiting Caldwell County 68-33 in a 7th District girls' basketball game on Tuesday night.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins improved to 13-3 overall and 3-0 in the 7th District.

Caldwell County dropped to 7-8 overall and 1-2 in the district with the loss.

Camryn LaGrange led Madisonville-North Hopkins with a game-high 19 points. Courtney Peyton followed, adding 16 points and nine rebounds for the Lady Maroons. Nearly reaching double figures in the scoring column and leading Madisonville-North Hopkins in rebounding, Lindsey Peyton netted nine points and pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds.

Bella McConnell led Caldwell County with 13 points. McConnell was the only Caldwell County player to reach double figures in the scoring column.
