Hopkins County Central StormMADISONVILLE, Ky. (1/10/19) — Hopkins County Central was unable to advance in the 2A Boys' Basketball Tournament as Calloway County held on to win 49-43 on Tuesday night.

With the loss, Hopkins County Central slipped to 5-9.

Calloway County improved to 7-9 with the win.

Cade Butler scored 15 points and Chandler Steele added 14 points for Calloway County in the victory. Accompanying Butler and Steele in double figures for the Lakers, Ki Franklin added 12 points.

Steele and Franklin each recorded a double-double, pulling down 11 rebounds apiece.

Tylan Mann led Hopkins County Central with a game-high 20 points. Mann was the only Hopkins County Central player to reach double figures in the scoring column. Finishing one field goal short of reaching double figures in scoring for the Storm, Ethan Putty pushed in eight points.
