HCC StormMADISONVILLE, Ky. (2/9/19) — Hopkins County Central opened on a 17-0 run and eventually pulled away to win 89-60 over visiting Dawson Springs in a 7th District boys' basketball game on Friday night.

With the win, Hopkins County Central improved to 11-12 overall and 3-3 in the 7th District.

Dawson Springs dropped to 9-17 overall and 0-6 in the district with the loss.

Tylan Mann scored a game-high 28 points and Blasin Moore contributed 22 points as Hopkins County Central notched the win.

Four Hopkins County Central players reached double figures in the scoring column. Adrian Stringer netted 16 points and Sam Almon posted 11 points for the Storm.

Hopkins County Central outscored Dawson Springs 27-7 in the first quarter. The Storm led 50-31 at halftime.

Landon Pace led Dawson Springs with a team-best 20 points. Accompanying pace in double figures for the Panthers, Adison Whalen added 12 points.
