Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/12/19) — Madisonville-North Hopkins gave up eight runs in the top half of the seventh inning as visiting Hopkinsville pulled away to win 11-4 in a high school baseball game on Thursday.

With the loss, Madisonville-North Hopkins dropped to 6-6.

Hopkinsville improved to 8-3 with the win.

Preston Chaudoin pitched a complete game and earned the win on the mound for the Tigers. Chaudoin allowed eight hits and four runs while striking out six and walking one in seven innings.

Madisonville-North Hopkins hurler Alex Gray took the loss. Gray pitched six and a third innings, allowing nine runs on 12 hits while striking out three and walking zero.

Hopkinsville outhit Madisonville-North Hopkins 15-8.

John Duvall, Layne Jorgensen, Aaron Crosby, Robert Justus and Logan Durst each delivered multiple hits for the Tigers. Duvall led Hopkinsville with three hits in four at-bats.

Gunner Dameron, Jacob Joseph and Blake Reynolds each collected two hits to lead the Maroons' offensive effort.
