Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/14/19) — Cole Lawrence drove in six runs on two hits as host Madisonville-North Hopkins defeated Crittenden County 12-1 in five innings in a high school baseball game on Monday.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins improved to 17-12.

Crittenden County dropped to 15-14 with the loss.

Jacob Joseph earned the pitching win for the Maroons. Joseph pitched five innings, allowing one run on six hits while striking out four and walking one.

Erik O’Leary took the pitching loss for the Rockets. O'Leary lasted two and a third innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out one and walking one.

Lawrence County homered for Madisonville-North Hopkins in the second inning. Madisonville-North Hopkins outhit Crittenden County 13-6. Lawrence, Joseph, Jon Hogart, Parker Mathis and Blake Reynolds led the Maroons with two hits apiece.

Madisonville-North Hopkins won convincingly despite committing four errors.
