Madisonville MinersFULTON, Ky. (7/13/19) — Madisonville fell behind early and trailed throughout as host Fulton pulled away to win 6-3 in an Ohio Valley League game at Lohaus Field on Thursday.

Keshaun Mays earned the pitching win for the Railroaders. Mays allowed five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out nine. Both Ben Kowalski and Ryan Middleton entered the game from the bullpen and helped to close out the matchup in relief pitching roles for homestanding Fulton. Kowalski recorded the last six outs to claim the save.

Zack Toth suffered the pitching loss for the Miners. Toth allowed eight hits and five runs over three innings, striking out five and walking one.

Fulton outhit Madisonville 10-7. Ty Wooton, Nathan Bynum and O’Neil Burgos provided two hits apiece for the Railroaders in the victory.

Alex Rodriguez led the Miners at the plate, delivering three hits in four at-bats.
