Hopkins Central Storm SoccerPRINCETON, Ky. (10/8/19) — Hopkins County Central halted a three-game losing skid on Monday, knocking off host Caldwell County 3-1 in the 7th District Boys' Soccer Tournament.

With the win, Hopkins County improved to 5-10-3 and advances to the 7th District girls' soccer title match.

Caldwell County concluded its season 4-12-1 with the loss.

Seth Almon scored two goals to lead Hopkins County Central to the victory. Chipping in offensively for the Storm, Tim Clevenger and Colin Garrett delivered one goal and two assists, respectively.

Defensively for Hopkins County Central, goalkeeper Chase Garrett recorded six saves while allowing only one goal.

Hopkins County Central is set to meet rival Madisonville-North Hopkins in the 7th District boys' soccer title match at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
