Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsPAINTSVILLE, Ky. (11/30/19) — Madisonville-North Hopkins' latest postseason run on the gridiron ended in the 2019 KHSAA Class 4A State Semifinals. Host Johnson Central pulled away to defeat Madisonville-North Hopkins 52-14 in the Class 4A State Semifinals on Friday night.

With the loss, Madisonville-North Hopkins ended its season 11-3.

Johnson Central moved to 14-0 and advances to the Class 4A state title game with the win.

Madisonville-North Hopkins was limited to a pair of touchdowns in the season-ending setback. 

The Maroons captured district and region championships before facing state title contender Johnson Central in the semifinals.

Johnson Central will meet Boyle County in the Class 4A state title game at 4:30 p.m. at Kroger Field in Lexington on Saturday, Dec. 7.
