Maroons logoMADISONVILLE, Ky. (12/1/19) — Madisonville-North Hopkins made history throughout the 2019 high school football season.

The Maroons, under the direction of head coach Jay Burgett, concluded the 2019 season 11-3 following a loss to host Johnson Central in the Class 4A Football State Semifinals on Friday, Nov. 29.

Jay Burgett-coached Madisonville-North Hopkins outscored opponents 524-307 during the 2019 season.

Madisonville-North Hopkins has logged back-to-back 10-win seasons for only the second time. The 2019 edition of the Maroons is the first team in school history to win 11 games in one season. Madisonville-North Hopkins claimed its second straight district championship and first region title since 1971. The Maroons capped the 2019 season with an appearance in the Class 4A State Semifinals.
