Storm logoMADISONVILLE, Ky. (2/11/20) — Hopkins County Central suffered a setback as visiting Caldwell County pulled away to win 47-37 in a 7th District girls' basketball game on Monday night.

With the loss, Hopkins County Central dropped to 6-14 overall and 2-4 in the 7th District.

Caldwell County improved to 12-11 overall and 4-2 in the district with the win.

Excelling early, Hopkins County Central outscored Caldwell County 11-8 in the opening quarter. But Caldwell County outscored the Lady Storm 16-7 in the second period to lead 24-18 at halftime.

Remaining out in front after the break, Caldwell County led 31-25 at the conclusion of the third quarter.

Lucy Goffinet paced Caldwell County with 10 points.

Hailie Hollis was Hopkins County Central's leading scorer, netting nine points.
