DawsonSpringsPanthersDAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (2/12/20) — Host Dawson Springs shook a slow start and used multiple runs to pull away to defeat 2nd Region rival Trigg County 68-57 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

With the win, Dawson Springs improved to 12-14.

Trigg County dropped to 10-16 with the loss.

The Panthers led 30-25 at halftime and outscored the Wildcats 20-12 in the third quarter.

Braxton Cotton led Dawson Springs to the win, scoring 25 points grabbing 14 rebounds and recording five blocks. Accompanying Cotton in double figures in scoring for the Panthers, Skylar Clark added 16 points, Landon Pace contributed 15 points and Dylan Dawson posted 11 points. Clark netted his 1,000th career point in the Panthers' win.

Jhaden Vaughn paced Trigg County with a double-double, scoring 15 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Joining Vaughn in double figures in scoring for the Wildcats, Jordan Miles and Dallas Ahart added 12 points apiece.
