Henderson County LogoEVANSVILLE, Ind. (2/9/19) — Henderson County won on the road on Friday night, upending host Evansville Day (Ind.) 58-52 in a boys' high school basketball game.

With the win, Henderson County improved to 5-9.

Evansville Day dropped to 8-9 with the loss.

The Colonels faced a two-point deficit at the conclusion of the first quarter but eventually moved ahead. Henderson County outscored Evansville Day 24-10 in the second quarter to lead 36-24 at halftime.

Corey Stewart paced Henderson County with a game-high 24 points. Accompanying Stewart in double figures for the Colonels, Edmund Brooks added 13 points.

Sharing game-high scoring honors with Henderson County's Stewart, Noah Hupmann led Evansville Day with 24 points. Joining Hupmann in double figures in scoring, Alijah Stewart added 15 points for the Eagles.
