Henderson County BaseballHENDERSON, Ky. (5/14/19) — Henderson County fell short in a late-season high school baseball game as visiting University Heights held on to win 3-2 on Monday.

Drew McGown pitched University Heights to the victory. McGown worked a complete game, allowing five hits and two runs over seven innings while striking out 11 and walking one.

Ethan Cartwright took the pitching loss for the Colonels. Cartwright pitched four innings, allowing three runs on one hit while striking out five.

Henderson County lost despite outhitting University Heights 5-2.

Cartwright, Colton Evans, Cameron Hanley, Skip Patterson and Bryce Willett provided one hit apiece for the Colonels.

Henderson County struggled defensively, committing five errors.
