Henderson Flash logoHENDERSON, Ky. (6/11/19) — Host Henderson managed to edge Madisonville 8-7 in the opening game of an Ohio Valley League doubleheader at B.T. Wayne Field on Tuesday.

Braden White earned the pitching win for the Flash. White allowed two hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, walking one.

Mason Libla took the pitching loss for the Miners. Libla surrendered one run on one hit over two-thirds of an inning, walking zero.

Henderson outhit Madisonville 12-10. Gunner Smith homered for the Flash. Trey Hutchinson, Justen Freeman, Josh Johnston and Austin Domer each managed multiple hits for the Flash. Hutchinson led Henderson at the plate, providing three hits in six at-bats.

Jacob Council, Charlie Szykowny and Shayne Lyons each recorded multiple hits for the Miners. Council went 3-for-6 at the plate to lead Madisonville in the hits column.
