HCHS ColonelsDRAFFENVILLE, Ky. (9/6/19) — Henderson County upended host Marshall County in a Class 6A, District 1 game on Friday, prevailing 42-7.

With the win, Henderson County improved to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in Class 6A, District 1.

Marshall County dropped to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the district with the loss.

In a dominant performance, Henderson County led 42-0 before Marshall County scored. The Colonels led 35-0 at halftime.

Logan Green and Edmund Brooks scored two touchdowns apiece for Henderson County in the victory. Green led Henderson County on the ground, rushing nine times for 78 yards and two touchdowns.

Through the air for Henderson County, quarterback Sam Elliott completed eight of 16 passes for 166 yards and two TDs. Brooks led the Colonels in receiving, reeling in five receptions for 141 yards and two TDs.
