Daviess County HS logoGREENVILLE, Ky. (10/6/18) — Dominating on the road on Friday night, Daviess County rolled past rival Muhlenberg County 49-18 in a Class 6A, District 1 football game at Mustang Stadium.

The Panthers returned to the win column following back-to-back losses. 

With the win, Daviess County improved to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in Class 6A, District 1.

Muhlenberg County dropped to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in the district with the loss.

Dominant Daviess County led 49-12 at halftime.

Joey Cambron completed 13 of 26 passes for 291 yards and five touchdowns to lead Daviess County to the victory.

Marquel Tinsley led the Panthers in receiving, reeling in eight receptions for 216 yards and four touchdowns.

Landon Newman paced Daviess County on the ground, rushing 12 times for 99 yards and one touchdown.

Quarterback Bronzyn Healy rushed seven times for 111 yards for the Mustangs. Winny Drake rushed eight times for 100 yards and two touchdowns for Muhlenberg County in the setback.
