HAWESVILLE, Ky. (10/6/18) — Owensboro Catholic made itself at home on the road on Friday night, defeating host Hancock County 35-8 in a Class 2A, District 2 football game.
With the win, Owensboro Catholic improved to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in Class 2A, District 2.
Hancock County dropped to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the district with the loss.
Quarterback Drew Hartz led Owensboro Catholic to the victory. Hartz completed 12 of 22 passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns while throwing one interception.
Nick Mills emerged as Owensboro Catholic's leading receiver, hauling in six receptions for 82 yards and one touchdown.
Von Williams led Owensboro Catholic on the ground, rushing 12 times for 62 yards and one touchdown.
Another running back, Harold Hogg, rushed six times for 55 yards in the Aces' winning effort.
