Owensboro HSDRAFFENVILLE, Ky. (10/6/18) — Owensboro notched its third straight win on Friday night, dismantling host Marshall County 50-7 in a Class 5A, District 1 football game.

With the win, Owensboro improved to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in Class 5A, District 1.

Marshall County dropped to 3-5 overall and 0-3 in the district with the loss.

The Red Devils amassed 335 yards of total offense on only 31 plays.

Owensboro dominated throughout the district matchup, packing a 43-0 lead into halftime.

Quarterback Will Warren led Owensboro to the win, completing eight of 11 passes for 191 yards and four touchdowns.

Treyvon Tinsley was on the receiving end of two of Warren's scoring passes. 

Javar Acton led Owensboro on the ground, rushing six times for 50 yards.

Defensively for the Red Devils, Austin Gough returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown.

Leading on special teams for Owensboro, I'monte Owsley returned a punt 55 yards for a touchdown. Owsley also hauled in a scoring pass from Warren in the Red Devils' victory.
