DCOWENSBORO, Ky. (10/10/18) — Daviess County took control early during its 2018 postseason debut, eventually pulling away to shut out rival Owensboro 7-0 in the 9th District Girls' Soccer Tournament at Apollo on Tuesday.

With the win, Daviess County improved to 8-5-2 and advances to the 9th District Girls' Soccer Tournament title match.

Owensboro ended its season 6-12-1 with the loss.

Meredith Campbell scored three goals and dished out one assist to lead Daviess County to the win.

Following Campbell in the Daviess County scoring column, Elizabeth Collier contributed two goals.

Chloe Hinchcliffe and Kenlee Newcom rounded out the Daviess County individual scoring, netting one goal apiece.

Newcom, Ashlyn Payton, Harlee Rone, Bobbi Sandifer and Kayla Vanover distributed one assist each for the Lady Panthers.

Goalkeeper Emma Paterson paced the Daviess County defensive effort, recording a shutout.
