Trinity Raiders logoWHITESVILLE, Ky. (2/12/19) — Whitesville Trinity claimed a win at home on Monday night, defeating visiting Owensboro 65-59 in a 3rd Region girls' basketball matchup.

The victory allowed Whitesville Trinity to halt a three-game losing skid. 

With the win, Whitesville Trinity improved to 10-17.

Owensboro dropped to 12-16 with the loss.

Four Whitesville Trinity players reached double figures in the scoring column. Cassidy Morris paced Whitesville Trinity with a team-best 18 points. Accompanying Morris in double figures for the Lady Raiders, Josie Aull added 14 points, Nina Wathen netted 13 points and Morgan Kinsey contributed 10 points.

Amaya Curry led Owensboro with a game-high 21 points. Finishing directly behind Curry in the Owensboro scoring column, Tayonna Greer tossed in 20 points.
